Hoppers AI ("we", "us", "our") is operated from Dublin, Ireland. We provide an AI-powered interview preparation and coaching platform. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. Data We Collect
Account Data
- Email address, name (provided at sign-up)
- Authentication credentials (managed securely via our identity provider)
Session Data
- Audio recordings processed in real-time (not stored by us)
- Transcripts generated from your interview sessions
- AI-powered suggestions and analysis scores
Documents
- Resumes you upload (stored securely in EU-hosted cloud storage)
- Job descriptions you provide
Usage & Technical Data
- Session duration, feature usage, and preferences
- Browser type, operating system, IP address
Payment Data
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store card details.
- We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide real-time interview coaching and answer generation
- To generate post-session analysis and performance scores
- To personalise AI responses based on your resume and job description
- To manage your account, subscription, and billing
- To improve our services and fix technical issues
- To send service-related communications (if opted in)
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
- Contract: Processing necessary to provide the services you signed up for
- Consent: Where you have given explicit consent (e.g., marketing emails)
- Legitimate interest: Service improvement, security, and fraud prevention
5. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following processors:
- AI providers — Audio transcription and AI answer generation (data processed in real-time, not permanently stored)
- Cloud infrastructure — Hosting and data storage (EU-West-1, Ireland)
- Stripe — Payment processing
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active, deleted upon account deletion
- Session transcripts and analysis: Retained while your account is active
- Resumes: Retained until you delete them or delete your account
- Audio: Processed in real-time and not permanently stored by Hoppers
- Payment records: Retained as required by tax and accounting regulations
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification — Correct inaccurate personal data
- Erasure — Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — Request we limit processing of your data
- Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object — Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@hoppers.ai. You can also delete your account directly from Settings. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and secure infrastructure hosted in Ireland (EU).
9. Cookies
We use minimal cookies. A functional cookie stores your sidebar preference. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No third-party analytics cookies are set.
10. Children
Our services are not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
